Floyd Mayweather Jr and Manny Pacquiao Set To Square Off

Mayweather-PacquiaoOne of the most anticipated fights in the history of boxing, is set to take place on May 2, 2015 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas where Welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr defends his title against the Philippines legend Manny Pacquiao.

A special welterweight champion belt will be created, reveals WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman. “For this special recognition, I would like to have emeralds or platinum, but everything will be defined during the next week” Sulaiman stated. “This is because of the magnitude of the event, which will be broadcast via TV networks globally.”

Floyd Mayweather Jr. enters the ring with a professional fight record of 47-0, with 26 wins coming by knockout. Manny Pacquiao has a record of 57-5-2, with 38 wins coming by way of knockout. Tickets to this much sought after event are in extremely high demand.
